A demo site — this firm does not exist
If someone does not turn up, we cover it by 07:00.
Gate Two is where the worker buses stop. Not the front gate where visitors sign in — the second one, at 05:40.
A contract-staffing and recruitment firm for factories in the Eastern Economic Corridor. Nine office staff. Roughly 240 contract workers placed at any one time.
The cover clock
| 04:45 | Worker must notify the coordinator of absence. The coordinator is a person, on a phone, not a voicemail. |
|---|---|
| 05:30 | We know the shortfall for the 07:00 shift. Your supervisor gets a message with the number, whether or not we have solved it yet. |
| 07:00 | The shortfall is covered from the standby list, or you are told it will not be. |
| — | If it is not covered, that worker’s day is not invoiced. Not a credit note, not a discount next month — it does not go on the invoice. |
We are not the cheapest firm on this corridor. The retainer for a standby list of 14 is the reason, and it is the only reason. If nobody has ever failed to turn up for you, buy on price.
A shortfall of more than four workers on the same shift cannot be covered inside 90 minutes. If your line needs guaranteed cover at that scale, the answer is a larger standby retainer written into the contract, and we will quote it — not a promise we cannot keep.
